Sydney LHD engaged Hospital Fitout Group to conduct an extensive renovation of the Respiratory Laboratory, L11, B75 at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. This project demonstrates Hospital Fitout Group’s experience in implementing effective WH&S and project management strategies to maintain WH&S and fire egress for staff, patients and visitors, as well as mitigating impacts from noise, dust and fumes on staff, patients and visitors.
The scope of works included demolition and removal of existing Respiratory Laboratory fitout, and renovation works including new ceilings throughout, new partitioning and walls, and installation of crash rails, hand-rails & grab rails as well as completing a whole renovation to the Respiratory Lab.
The project demonstrates Hospital Fitout Group’s capabilities to meet stringent hospital construction standards. Working on Level 11, Hospital Fitout group met all requirements for the project to be isolated from all live areas in the building.
To complete the project, Hospital Fitout Group implemented WH&S standards, ensuring all access to site, ensuring the times of staff entering the site through the service elevator at certain times, hoarding off areas within the hospital for construction access only.
